PG Apps has introduced floating licenses to selected product versions. It is called a ‘Floating‘ license because it allows a single purchased license to float between different users when it is needed.
When a user runs a PG App, a product license is “Checked out” from your account store. When the user completes their work, the licenses becomes “Checked in” to the account store and is available to another user.
This gives businesses and users some flexible options:
- PG Apps are specialized tools and are likely used intermittently within a company. A single floating license can be used to support the activities of several users.
- As more users need simultaneous access to a PG App, additional licenses can be purchased and added to the floating license pool.
- The floating license portal provides insights into the usage frequency of a PG App so a business can make informed purchasing decisions and expand capacity.
Installing a Floating License
Setting up a floating license is easy and is similar to prior purchasing and installation methods for PG Apps.

- Your Floating License capability is tied to the purchasing account e-mail.
- You can install a Floating License (with account e-mail) to as many devices as you want.
