Importing the Visual to Power BI
This tutorial covers how to import the Tracer visuals (*.PBIVIZ file) into a Microsoft Power BI report. This example shows the 3D visual, but the same process is used to import the 2D visual. Use the same workflow to replace the trial visuals with the “Demo” watermark with the licensed version.
Conditional Formatting
Tracer V3 introduces updates to the 2D visual for displaying GeoJSON data records exported from Revit for use in Power BI. In addition to new formatting options, the 2D visual introduces the ability to use Conditional Formatting to control object colors and heatmaps
Context Feature
The visual offers the option to classify elements as Context so they can act as “background” geometry with different display settings from the rest of the model elements.

- Set up a Power BI data source to the the RoomElement view.
