Release v.4.0.2 (CURRENT VERSION)


Release v.3.2.0.1

  • Grasshopper plugin updates
    • Bug Fix for Structural Column support via Rhino.Inside sending
    • Removed an input for ‘FaceBased’ Wall toggle – this is not needed in V3 and wasn’t doing anything for the component.
  • General translator (affecting all workflows)
    • Wall translation – Revit wall creation now looks at more BRep attributes to determine if a typical Revit wall type can be created

  • Installer now includes a version for Revit 2023!

  • New Rhino example files!
  • Support for Floor Types that are Foundation Slabs
  • BUG FIX – Some objects were reverting to SAT imports in lieu of newer import methods. This has been fixed. No more SAT dependence!

Release v.3.0.4.0

  • A growing collection of sample Rhino files can be found here!
  • Implemented faster importing methodology for Family creation (2x+ as fast)
  • BUG FIX – Revit 2022.1.2 Hotfix introduced breaking changes to Family SAT imports that caused families to scale incorrectly. This is fixed in this build!
  • BUG FIX – Conveyor Grasshopper Block nodes were failing to export. This has been fixed!

  • Update including addin versions for Revit 2022

Release v.2.2.0

  • Some users reported issues with Conveyor functioning with non-standard Rhino deployment locations – this has been resolved.
  • Fixed issues with updating locations of adaptive components when using tools via Rhino.Inside.Revit

Release v.2.0.3

  • First Official “Version 2” release

    • Numerous improvements to import workflow stability and reliability
    • Integration with Rhino.Inside.Revit for Rhino 7 providing the following new workflow opportunities:
      • Direct sending of Rhino objects into Revit when opened through Rhino.Inside.Revit plugin
      • Direct sending of Revit element geometry into Rhino when opened through Rhino.Inside.Revit plugin
      • Grasshopper plugins will stream element output directly into Revit when opened with Rhino.Inside.Revit
  • Now using “semantic versioning” for version releases.


Release v.2020.11.23

  • Rhino 7 Commercial Support
    • With the release of Rhino 7 Commercial, this version now supports methods that make use of Rhino 7 automation.
    • NOTE: Rhino 7 WIP release support will become phased out.
  • Wall Import does not depend on level alignment
    • Previous versions required aligned levels for placing walls. This version finds the nearest level to a wall surface’s base and computes the offset amount.


Release v.2020.9.23

  • Support for Rhino 7 SubD Objects
    • This release includes the first version of support Rhino 7 Subdivision (SubD) objects. SubD objects can now be assigned to a Mesh category and imported as hidden-edge Revit meshes with control settings for subdivision amounts and resolution. The result is a Revit family object that can be cut in various views (plan, section, 3D, etc)

Bug Fix

  • Revit
    • Conveyor would incorrectly recognize some objects as needing an update when they were unchanged. A fix for improving object search was implemented.

Release v.2020.9.9

New Features

  • Rhino 7 WIP Support
    • The installer new registers the Rhino plugins for use in Rhino 7 WIP.
    • Rhino 7 3DM files are also supported with Conveyor Revit addins.
    • Note: there is a known limitation around support for SubD objects in Rhino v7 3DM files. OpenNURBS does not yet provide methods for accessing underlying meshes or render meshes for SubDs. Users will need to convert SubD objects to either mesh or brep before importing.

Improvements and Fixes

  • Revit
    • A missing dependency was preventing Revit 2018 from verifying a license. This is fixed.

Improvements and Fixes

  • Rhino
    • Grasshopper block instance component exposes a “Category” parameter.
    • Grasshopper wall, structure, and adaptive separate inputs for Family Name and Family Type.
    • Misc. component renaming.
  • Revit
    • Added some basic local logging for license checking.
    • Resolved a registry issue that was preventing some countries and regions from installing Conveyor.

Release v.2020.5.27

New Features

  • Revit
    • Revit 2021 build of all Conveyor V1.0 addins has been introduced!

Improvements and Fixes

  • Rhino
    • Fixed a few UI form quirks with the Conveyor assignment window.
  • Revit
    • Change in floor-level assignment logic: By popular demand, Floors will be created and hosted to the closest level by elevation.
    • More improvements to subcategory assignment logic for Blocks
    • Fixed a few UI form quirks with the Conveyor assignment window.

Release v.2020.4.29

New Features

  • Rhino
    • Conveyor assignment tool now supports “Select” commands in the command-line (ex. SelPolysurface)
    • Conveyor assignment tool now supports Selecting objects from the layer list.

Improvements and Fixes

  • Rhino
    • Built in better exception catching in the Conveyor assignment tool
  • Revit
    • Introduced warning suppression during DirectShape imports.

Release v.2020.4.8

New Features

  • Rhino
    • Roof elements supported – Basic Roof types can be added to the “Floors” Rhino Conveyor category.
    • Block improvement – If a subcategory name is not provided, Conveyor will use the layer name.
  • Grasshopper
    • Material support for Blocks and Solids – New inputs allow users to provide a material names for objects.
    • Structure Cross-Section Rotation – New input allows user to specify the cross-section rotation of a structural framing member.

Improvements and Fixes

  • Some Rhino blocks were not using the correct category on import. This is fixed.
  • Object-level materials were not assigning if a Layer-level material was not also assigned. This is fixed.
  • Revit “Import Geometry” Addin – Nested layers were not importing geometry. This is fixed.
  • A UI control was causing crashes with the pyRevit addin. This is fixed.
  • Duplicate blocks were being listed in the import block Conveyor interface. This is fixed
